Archstone Veteran in Development Manager Role

Arlington, Virginia – Arlington Virginia based developer Insight Property Group announced this week that Archstone veteran and Alexandria native Rebecca E. Snyder has  joined the firm as Development Manager.  The expansion comes at a time of Insight’s growing activity in DC-area multifamily and mixed-use development, including $130 million in projects under construction and another $160 million in the development pipeline.

At Archstone, Snyder served as Development Manager on over 1,600 apartments in the DC area and provided investment analysis for the company’s $4 billion national development pipeline.  During her 7 years at Archstone, Snyder played a key role in the development of some of the company’s most notable projects including Archstone Wisconsin Place and CityCenterDC.  She most recently managed the 469-unit Archstone First + M project in Washington, DC from construction through lease-up.

Before Archstone, Snyder managed the sales and marketing of 358 luxury condominiums with a gross sellout of $175 million for McWilliams Ballard.  In 2005, she received the $60 Million Sales Achievement MAME Award for Marketing Excellence.

Mrs. Snyder received a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Brown University, a Masters in Urban and Environmental Planning and a Certificate in Historic Preservation from The University of Virginia School of Architecture.

“In our business, nothing matters more than experience, talent and teamwork,” according to Insight principal Richard Hausler.  “Rebecca brings all three, and she is a great fit for us.”

Insight projects now under construction include a 310-unit luxury apartment project in Silver Spring, Maryland, and a 240-unit residential project being developed in Alexandria, Virginia.

The firm very recently completed its Grayson Flats apartment development project in Arlington, Virginia.  In pre-development are Insight’s two-phase, 450-unit mixed-use apartment project on H Street NE in Washington, DC and a high-end residential project in the planning stages in Rosslyn, Virginia.  The company has also acquired 572 existing apartments in four locations in Greater DC.

Founded by longtime multifamily industry veterans Richard Hausler and Michael Blum, Insight Property Group LLC acquires, repositions, and develops well-located apartments and mixed-use real estate in the Washington, DC metropolitan region.
