McLean-based Insight Property Group said it has acquired Windover Villas, a rental community in Fredericksburg consisting of 90 single-family homes. Insight, which bought the property from California-based SunAmerica for $9.9 million, has specialized in acquiring and developing apartments and mixed-use real estate in the Washington area. Insight officials say the company’s business plan now calls for it to focus more on meeting the heavy demand for affordable “workforce housing” in the region.
