Insight is proposing to bring 555 apartments in a 16-story building, anchored by a 42,000 SF grocery store, to the existing Macy’s at 685 N. Glebe Road in Arlington, VA. The project is expected to start construction in early 2023.
The Macy’s Ballston site is the last piece of the Ballston Quarter mall redevelopment. Located at the intersection of N Glebe Road and Wilson Boulevard, the project is at the heart of one of the densest neighborhoods in the D.C. Metro region. It is within walking distance of the Ballston Metrorail Station and is adjacent to employment, retail, dining, and Ballston Quarter mall. This location also enjoys easy access to major commuter routes including Route 66, the Capital Beltway, Route 29, and Route 50.
