Michael H. Blum
President and Co-Founder
Michael is the President and Co-Founder of Insight and is charged with the Company’s day-to-day management. In that capacity he identifies acquisition and development opportunities, obtains all project debt and equity and oversees underwriting and all due-diligence matters. Prior to the establishment of Insight, Michael was the Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Kettler Inc.
Overall, Michael has more than 25 years of experience in the real estate development and finance industry. This career began in the Real Estate Finance Group with Bank of America and Freddie Mac. He originally joined Kettler in 1996 and became Vice President of Multifamily Development. In that capacity Michael was actively involved with the acquisition and development of numerous multifamily and mixed-use assets as well as the placement of project debt and equity.
More specifically Michael has been directly involved with numerous acquisitions, dispositions and development of all types of multifamily and mixed-use projects. These projects include thousands of residential units and a significant amount of commercial space.
Michael is a 1987 graduate of Franklin & Marshall College where he received a BA in Business Management. In 1992 he received an MBA in Finance from the University of Baltimore.
